The Troyer family’s mattress story began in Holmes County, Ohio, an area long recognized for Amish furniture and woodworking. In 2003, founder Larry Troyer set out to build mattresses that would match the reputation of Amish-built furniture—durable, honest, and made to last. What started in a modest shop quickly became a family effort, with children learning the trade, pitching in, and embracing the same commitment to quality.

In 2016, the company expanded to a larger facility in Orwell, Ohio. Today, HSP operates an 85,000-square-foot manufacturing plant with a team of Amish and non-Amish craftsmen working side by side. Modern equipment has boosted output by more than 200% while preserving the hand-finished touch that makes each mattress distinct.

A graduate of Thiel College with a degree in Media & Journalism, Jason previously served as Station Manager of WXTC Radio, where he earned national recognition for his work in broadcasting.
